New user here in need of some help.
In regular Blender (2.79) I can select a polygon / face then ctrl + shift + click and select another polygon further away. All polygons in between get selected. This doesn’t work in Bforartists. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.
Hi 3dkiwi,
Yikes! I have never noticed this. You did nothing wrong. You stumbled across a bug! Something always makes it through
Thanks for the report. We will have a look to find a solution as fast as possible.
Kind regards
Reiner
EDIT, at least the normal behaviour to select the shortest path works. That’s ctrl+click. The problem here is adding to this selection then. That’s where you use the shift key for.

Okay, the shortcut for this action is simply missing. It’s the same than the existing Pick Shortest Path hotkey, but with Fill Region ticked and with shift key. To add it manually is semi difficult. But not too hard
– Open User Preferences.
– Click at Input tab.
– Open the 3D View category
– Open the Mesh category
– Scroll down to the end of the mesh category, and click at Add New.
Expand this new created shortcut. We need to fill it with the right content now.
1) paste the following term into this edit box: mesh.shortest_path_pick
2) change this dropdown box to Mouse
3) change this dropdown box to Select
4) tick Shift and Ctrl
5) tick Fill Region
Don’t forget to save the user settings. And then you should have the needed functionality back
Brilliant. Thanks for your very clear instructions. Things are now working as expected. Actually very helpful as it’s given me an insight into how I can customize things.
Cheers
