Bforartists 0.4.2 is another small release mainly around tooltips and small quirks. There are still some single line tooltips left. But it makes no sense to change them to multiline tooltips for most of them. New is the Materials Library FX addon. This one is also natively included into Blender 2.78 now. I still have to decide if i deliver this addon in future releases activated or not. The loading times are drastically increased when this addon is active.
The download can as usually be found in the downloads section. www.bforartists.de/download
The release note can be found here: www.bforartists.de/release-notes/
Next it goes on with work at version 0.5.0. There are a few bigger operations in the tracker waiting.
I would have loved to add the changes to the manual too. But the menu items that i have changed does simply not exist in the manual yet. So there was just the update to the history file left. Chapter 18.
That’s why i have started to rewrite the manual for at least the editor parts. The official Blender manual is a completely mess here, and not just here. It is basically unnavigatable and hard to understand. You might already be in trouble to find just the menu items so that you could find out about the functionality. And more than once you find yourself in a little tutorial instead of a short description for the tool. With completely outdated screenshots from Blender 2.4, and scientic descriptions instead of a undestandable explanation.
This task is another monster project. In the scope of one or even more manyears. But i feel it is worth it. I will work at it as a side project, and replace the Blender manual parts one by one then.
