Hi Everyone,
I tried searching the forums for Oscurart but only found some release notes related to fixing broken addons.
The issue I have is that Oscurart Tools is not appearing in the Tools menu (after enabling the addon in preferences and saving my prefs file). Now my first reaction to this is user error.
The Tools Tab does have a Workspaces section listing Oscurart under the Filter Addons (within the Tools->Workspaces tab). However I’m still a bit lost as to the purpose of the Workspace function. So I did attempt to find information on Workspaces but so far I’m at a bit of a loss to understabnding it.
I hate asking people for help on this becasue I do believe this is my error, but I guess I’m being lazy about this so my apologies.
Hi Slippy,
Thanks for your question. Asking is never wrong. Maybe you found a bug here, which would help me then
I have just checked, and the Oscurart addon starts as in Blender. It’s in fact the same addon, and so nothing should be missing.
Do we talk about Bfoartists 1 or Bforartists 2? Where do you expect the menu entry? Where is it missing?
Kind regards
Reiner
EDIT, you could open the console in Bforartists, and have a look if an error appears.
I have now searched through the source code. And there is no code that adds an entry into the Tools tab. So i would say the description of the addon is wrong.
We unfortunately can’t give support for the addons. This would kill us, manpower wise. Such things are best reported to the addon developer. Oscurard is an official Blender addon. So you could also report any issue with this addon to the Blender bug tracker. This can be done from within Blender. In the newest version even from the addon section.
And one word to the entry in the so called context menu. In Bforartists you call it with a double right click.
Hope that helps
Hello Reiner,
Thank you so much for your investigation into this. I will indeed report this issue to Oscurart.
Thank you again for your support.
Kindest regards,
Slippy
